Our Work with Pedestrians

The Inclusive Public Space project will work with pedestrians in two ways.

First, there will be an online survey open to pedestrians all over the world. If you have had any difficulties because of the way streets are designed or managed, especially if you have tried to challenge or change things, please do fill in this survey.

Second, using a range of methods, we will work with approximately 50 pedestrians in ten cities - two in each of the project countries. In the first phase of the fieldwork (2020 - 2021), these pedestrians will:

* Take part in an interview about their experiences of street exclusion and challenging it;

* Choose a problem street journey to be filmed and have the chance to accompany the photographer or be filmed making the journey; and

* Take part in a story-telling workshop in which they are supported to share and record their stories.

In the second phase (2022 - 2023), they will take part in:

* A feedback workshop, where they can feed into emerging findings, awareness-raising and solidarity-building tools; and

* A community-building event, involving all the people from a particular city who contributed to the research.
