Welcome to Dr Ehsan Sadraei

Date

The Inclusive Public Space project extends a warm welcome to Dr Ehsan Sadraei, who recently joined our team:

I joined the IPS project in October 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher. I have been working on driving and pedestrian simulators in Virtuocity - University of Leeds to answer research questions related to human factors and safety in transport studies, such as the study of pedestrian and autonomous vehicle interactions in a simulated environment. With the IPS project, I will have the chance to work on immersive virtual reality (VR) development to raise the awareness about the inclusiveness of public spaces and to foster solidarity by showing people what it would be like to experience unequal access to city streets. This will involve using the films of street journeys that are identified by the pedestrian participants as inaccessible, and generating 360 VR experience in both CAVE-Based and HMD simulators to elicit the highest involvement and presence.
